Education and Training

PSYCHOTHERAPY

I received my undergraduate degree from Oberlin College in Ohio, and my master’s degree in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies’ Somatics Program in San Francisco. While the focus of my master’s work was in Somatics, my practice is also rooted in the training I have received in Family Systems and Psychodynamic theory. I also have specialized training in working with trauma from the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute in Boulder, CO and, and received extensive training and experience working with couples from the Women’s Therapy Center in Berkeley, CA.

HOMEOPATHY

In 2008 I completed my certification to become a homeopath at the Homeopathy School of Colorado (Now Homeopathy School International) in Boulder. After graduating I entered a one year post graduate program with Karen Allen at the Pacific Academy in San Francisco. In addition I spent one year in India working at two homeopathic clinics, one in Northern India and one in Southern India. While working at these busy clinics, I received excellent training from the senior homeopaths who ran the clinics as well as acquired valuable experience working with a wide range of patients.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

I was trained in various types of bodywork at the Brian Utting School of Massage, passed my licensing exams in the state of Washington and practiced as a massage therapist for several years before devoting myself full-time as a somatic psychotherapist. I am currently enrolled in a certification process with the Upledger Institute where I am deepening my practice as a Craniosacral Therapist.
